Dont let the pigeon stay up late

First off, our family loves Mo Willems. We have a big collection of his books.

As with the other pigeon books, this is a funny book that everyone enjoys. The pictures are simple so my 1 year old isn't overwhelmed and laughs at each page with the pigeon.

Ten Shiny Snails

This book is an adorable rhyme that counts down from 10 to 1. On each page a plastic pop out snail "stays behind"

Trucks

Though this book will not be winning any literary awards soon, my son loves this book. This is a scanimation book. Different parts of the trucks move on each page. The only disappointment was from a firetruck family, we were sad nothing moved on the firetruck page.

My goal

As a child I remember being told no to dolls, toys, and candy. The one thing my parents never told me no about was books. Maybe it was because my mom is an english teacher, but whatever the reason I still love reading.
A year ago I had my first child. My goal all along was to instill that some love of reading in him that my parents instilled in me.
We read to Little Mac every night before bed and several times during the day. But as I run out of books that I know I started to realize there are not a lot of book reviews for picture books.
This is my way of reviewing the books I read to Little Mac. My goal is to review one a day for a year, but please forgive me if I don't make it.
